Uploader's Comments: This is the uncut version of this great HK thriller. I don't know how much more extra minutes of footage there is, but I do notice that the rape scene is longer, IT DOESN'T cut to black and is a bit more graphic. The scene involving petrol is more graphic too.
PROS Juno Mak gives a chilling, yet sympathetic performance Sola Aoi surprisingly makes a good debut (and speaks her own Cantonese) The love story succeeds at being touching and adds sympathy to the leads Exploitation fans will like the violence on display (a scene involving petrol is a highlight)
CONS Some scenes linger on too long (the rape scene) Can be quite pretentious (the slow-motion shots, the chapter titles) The ending can throw people off Anti-revenge theme can be quite hypocritical
SCORE: 7/10 (A daring Hong Kong exploitation film that is visceral, thrilling and gets under your skin.)
